- 演習の目標 / Seminar Objectives
- Students will be able to acquire basic academic skills and a good understanding
of public international law to produce a thesis. To that end, students
will be asked to select an international issue with the consultation of
the Instructor and analyze a legal question underlying the issue.
卒業論文が執筆できる程度の基本的な学術的スキルと国際公法に関する十分な理解を身につけることが目標です。履修生は、担当教員と協議した上で国際課題を選び、そこに横たわる法的問題を分析していきます。
- 演習の運営方法 / Ways of Conducting This Seminar
- After designing a research plan, students will individually conduct research
(including literature review, the analysis of legal texts, etc.), and draft
their theses.
Students will be making presentations to the class to get feedback from
other students and the Instructor.
研究計画の執筆後、履修生は各自で研究を行い（先行文献の調査や法文書の分析など）、卒業論文を執筆します。
履修生はゼミで発表を行い、他の履修生や担当教員からフィードバックをもらうことを重ねる中で、論文を磨いていきます。
- 開講言語 / Language
- English & Japanese 両言語
- Both English and Japanese can be used for writing a thesis. Note that students
may be required to use both languages during the in-seminar discussions.
日英のどちらの言語を用いて卒業論文を執筆しても構いません。ただし、ゼミの議論に参加する場合は、両言語基準の学生がいることに配慮し、状況に応じて両言語を用いることになる点に留意してください。
- 使用するテキスト・参考文献などの紹介 / Texts and materials
- There is no textbook for this seminar. Students will be expected to conduct
broad and deep research using the APU library and its online resources.
本ゼミに、特定の教科書はありません。履修生は、APUライブラリーやそのオンラインのリソースを活用し、幅広く、また深く調査を行うことになります。
- 受講生に望むこと / Expectations for Students
- Students taking this seminar must be committed and willing to study in
depth one theme for a year.
Students will be expected to provide feedback to other students in classes
and to learn from each other.
本ゼミの履修生には、1年間かけて、1つのテーマを深く掘り下げる意欲と熱意を持っていることが望まれます。
また、授業中に他の学生にフィードバックを行い、互いに学び合う態度でゼミに参加することが求められます。

- Students can acquire the legal mindset and analytical skills, which are
not only relevant for a legal career, but also in the field of diplomacy,
international and domestic public sector, business, media, and social sector.
個のゼミを通して履修生が得られる法的思考および分析スキルは、法曹実務に限らず、外交や国際・国内の公務員、ビジネス、メディア、社会セクターなどで活かすことができます。
