2021 年アジアカップ国際法模擬裁判8月18日に、日本、アジア諸国の各大学から11チーム （インド、インドネシア、マレーシア、ネパール、フィリピン、 ロシア 、シンガポール、タイ、 ベトナム、 日本）が参加して、 国際法模擬裁判 大会 「アジアカップ」（日本国際法学会・外務省共催）が開催された。この大会は、 アジア諸国の学生を対象として 1999 年から日本で開催されている。 参加チームは、 架空の国家間の 紛争を問題文とし、 国際司法裁判所に付託されたものとして 原告・被告 の法的主張を準備し、 弁論を競う。 学生は、 「メモリアル」 準備書面 を提出し た上で 、 裁判官役を務める専門家を前に 口頭 弁論を行う。 APU の学生は、京都大学の学生とともに、 日本 の代表となる 2 チームのうちの 1 つに選ばれた。アジアカップ本選では、メモリアルで 4 位（京都大学と同率）を獲得した。

We are proud to announce the results of the Asia Cup 2021, in which the APU team participated for the first time! 日本代表として初挑戦した国際法模擬裁判大会 “Asia Cup”2021。APUチーム健闘の結果を発表します！
"APS students Maritza Satari Alina (Indonesia), Thien Thao Anh Bui (Vietnam), Gillian Montero Encarnacion (Phillipines), and Fairuza Fathia (Indonesia) did a splendid job representing APU at the Asia Cup 2021 International Moot Court Competition!With guidance from their seminar supervisor, Dr Miharu Hirano, they tied with Kyoto University for the 4th best memorial (written pleading) and ranked 8th place out of the 11 Asian universities that proceeded to the Oral Round (30 teams registered in total).Congratulations team!"
「今回の国際法模擬裁判大会 “Asia Cup”には、アジア太平洋学部の平野実晴助教のゼミ生である、Maritza Satari Alinaさん（インドネシア)、Thien Thao Anh Bui さん(ベトナム)、Gillian Montero Encarnacionさん (フィリピン)、 Fairuza Fathiaさん (インドネシア)の4名がチームとして参加しました。書面で、京都大学と同率4位、口頭弁論ではアジアの大学の中で8位という結果を残しました。挑戦した学生の皆さん、おめでとうございます！」

 

APU Team advances to the Oral Round

This year, four students from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) are participating in the Asia Cup International Law Moot Court Competition for the first time in the University's history. Based on the written brief (so-called "memorial"), the APU Team was selected as one of the two Japanese universities to advance to the Oral Round! The Team will compete against top Asian universities in the tournament.
